Now after a long time I got this light-weight, funny & at the same time very addictive game. And the most interesting part is that its available for free. The game quality is fantastic & the game play is very interesting. I am playing it for quite some time & till now never got bored, not even a single time. I especially liked the graphics(was not expecting this good) & the available weapons. Moreover, even though this is a free game it keeps on getting updated with new content, thanks to the developers who listen to people suggestions in the game community. The game community is also very mature & professional to say the least. A little background on the game plot- The assasin has needle games & Ambush blades for killing his unlucky targets. Apart from this, you also get spectral cloak that will render you almost invisible and Catalyze Toxins, Panic Bombs,etc. For a browser based game, this is really a winner. To be honest I didn’t expect such a refined & polished game coming for free of cost.

Online Game Review: Metal Mayhem

Metal Mayhem World Tour is a brilliantly crafted 3D game which belongs to action-racing genre.This game is quite different from other games of same genre & fun to play. The graphics & sound effects are very good. The game script & play is very catchy & crafted to grab your attention from the word go. But because of its graphics quality this game file size is quite large & in slow internet connections it will take a lot of time to download. But let it be clear, this game is worth downloading & very addictive.

A brief summary of the game story/instructions :-

Your main objective is to destroy all the rival cars using your weapons before the given time limit & off course protecting yourself. You can select from different cars, however at the beginning only 2 cars will be there to select from. As you keep on winning the matches & earn money, you will be able to unlock the other cars. Your primary weapon will be machine gun & you can buy or upgrade your secondary heavy weapons(again you will need money for that). You can also choose the arena from various different locations across the world. Game controls are quite difficult, especially the combos. However, with practice you can manage it.

Online Game Review: Mission at Dawn

If you have seen the “Guardian” movie & want to do something like that (at least in games) then you will like this game. Mission at Dawn is all about rescuing the survivors from storm & high seas. First let us talk a little about the technical specifications of the game. The game is in 3D and the game size is approximately 1.9 Mb. Now, this game will take some time to load in slow connections (especially dial up connections). You also need to have shockwave player to run this game in your browser. “Mission at Dawn” also has an option to play the game in bigger screen mode.

The games graphics & sound effect is quite good. You need to pilot a helicopter, though in third person. You will get SOS messages & have to reach the origin of signal using the radar. Once you reach there, you have to lower your carriage & try to pick up the survivors. Now, this will be difficult because of lower visibility & high speed winds. At a time you can pick up only 4 survivors and then you have to get back at base station. Once you unload them you can go for next ferry. Though the game play is ok, it become repetitive after few missions. But, anyway its better than most of other games out there of same genre.

Online Game Review:Karate King

Karate king is a martial art based action game. The game is in 3d & quite nicely built. You have to beat Ninja masters, sword masters & the giant fighters to move to next level. Needless to say, that with each increase in level the number & power of enemies will also increase. The controls are quite easy, however sometimes it becomes difficult to maintain the right directions. You have options for fast attacks that are less powerful & slow attacks which will kill th enemies faster. But i especially like the rage attack & with this you can earn more points.

The game reminds me of tekken series, however this is 3D & purely karate based. For playing this game you need to install shockwave flash player versin 1.6. The game load does not take much time in case shockwave flash player is already installed. The game window is small & I found it rather problematic. And remember if you want to stop game music quickly just click anywhere in the browser window, except the game window. Sound will also stop automatically if you open any new window over your browser.

Online Game Review: Contra

Here comes the grand-father of all action games- Contra. This was the first action adventure game that I ever played! That too, it was a TV game at that time. Anyway, the story I am talking about is at least 20 years old. But there are lots of memories associated with this game. Those days we can’t even think about personal computers (forget laptops!) & internet connection. Only other games that I was aware of at that time were other TV games like Mario, Galaxy & Soccer. But Contra was my favourite at that time too.

Now let’s discuss something about the online game Contra 2000. It will remind you of the original TV game series “Contra”.  In fact this game is a tribute to the original game on its 20th anniversary. The controls are easy. There are 4 difficulty levels in this game, the fourth one being insane. You can also adjust the graphics quality depending upon your computer configuration. I am pretty sure that all the computers will support the highest quality. There are three levels to select from- the jungle, snowfield & the alien lair. The game is so wonderfully copied from its original that I am sure it will bring back your childhood memories.

Online Game Review:Russian Affairs

Russian affairs is a third person shooter/action-adventure game. The game is quite interesting with a nice storyline to follow (like IGI). The game design is quite unique for an online game. The graphics are like comic strips but looks very decent. The background adds to game story line & creates a domestic underground mafia type atmosphere. The game controls are quite easy, at least in the starting part of the game. As the game advances, it becomes little difficult to move & shoot at the same time. The game file is around 5 MB, so it may take some time in slow/dial-up connections.

The game plot goes like this- Some underground mafia gang is making high powered weapons. The job of you & your team is to look out for those weapons & destroy them before the gang members can use them to create mayhem. But soon you realise that your complete team is wiped out & you are the only member alive to carry on the operation. The game is good in all the aspects, but just lacks in one place- that is, it’s quite repetitive. After playing for around an hour I got quite bored.

But, please give it a try. I am sure lots of people will like this game.

Online Game Review: Elite Force Clone Wars

Elite force clone wars is a strategy cum action game. Here your target is to multiply your force & capture your enemy’s barrack before they can outnumber you. The game is quite good to play for first few levels & will interest you if you like strategic games. After first few levels it becomes repetitive, tedious & boring. Another point is, since it’s a 2d game maybe all of the online player will not like that much. Anyway the game play is decently good, with not so much impressive graphics or sound. What you have to do is, capture as many barracks as possible before your enemies outnumber you. The barracks will help you in multiplying your clones & hence capturing them is of utmost importance. If you capture more barracks than your enemy then your soldiers will multiply at a greater rate & you can defeat your enemy easily. But the trick lies in how to capture the barracks & how to retain them against the repeated attacks by adversary. The blue barracks refer to friendly ones whereas the red ones belong to enemy. The grey ones are neutral ones, so try them to capture as soon as possible as they will not oppose you.

I will not 100% recommend you this game, but you can give it a try!
