Tomb Raider:2013 Reboot

This one is for the fans of Tomb Raider. The game is getting a reboot & getting released on March 5th 2013. Tomb Raider is the fifth title developed by Crystal Dynamics in the Tomb Raider franchise & published by Square Enix. For people who are not aware of the Tomb Raider series, it was launched in 1996 & was a revolution in terms of graphics & game play. Tomb Raider belong to action adventure genre & revolve around the central character “Lara Croft”. The game is based on Lara Croft’s adventure in a forgotten island, in the Dragon’s Triangle, unravelling its dark history. Lara has to survive in the island fighting with animal inhabitants & mercenaries who seek to kill her & her companions.

Try this amazing free game- Assassin: FreeFall

Now after a long time I got this light-weight, funny & at the same time very addictive game. And the most interesting part is that its available for free. The game quality is fantastic & the game play is very interesting. I am playing it for quite some time & till now never got bored, not even a single time. I especially liked the graphics(was not expecting this good) & the available weapons. Moreover, even though this is a free game it keeps on getting updated with new content, thanks to the developers who listen to people suggestions in the game community. The game community is also very mature & professional to say the least. A little background on the game plot- The assasin has needle games & Ambush blades for killing his unlucky targets. Apart from this, you also get spectral cloak that will render you almost invisible and Catalyze Toxins, Panic Bombs,etc. For a browser based game, this is really a winner. To be honest I didn’t expect such a refined & polished game coming for free of cost.

Best Deal- Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Recently purchased a copy of COD Black Ops 2. Was dying to play the latest offering from COD Series. Ok, the initial reviews that I read about this game was not good. But since I was getting this game at very cheap price, I decided to give it a try. I downloaded the software & installed in my quite "high-end" PC. Graphics look detailed & the sound effects were quite realistic too. Environment, facial expressions, weather effects are excellent. I liked the campaign & the way the story was told.

The single player mode was ok. The game focusses on two wars-one being the cold war between USSR & US(1980s settings) and the other being war between US & China(21st century setting)The major attraction for this game is the mutiplayer mode. Checkout the maps, they are really good & very big. The story takes place in locales across the globe. This gives the players a very big theater of action. There are many characters which the player get to play with & I liked almost all of them.

Online Game Review-Gutter Ball

You want to practice a little bowling while working from the confines of your office-then gutter ball is the right game for you. Don’t go after the name, I know it’s a little awkward but the game it’s quite nice (if not brilliant!). Gutter ball is quite catchy & interesting for a first few games, after that it becomes quite repetitive. The game is simple & flash based. You have both the option to play alone or to have a second player. There are 4 kinds of bowls to choose form with each having different speed & spin characteristics. The game window is quite small & if you want to play it full screen there is an option to download the game. The commenting & crowd effects are repetitive & irritate quite a lot.

It’s recommended only if you are a diehard fan of bowling or there is nothing else better to do!

Online Game Review- Crush the Castle

Now this one is a funny & at the same time very interesting game. The game play is simple & effective. You are a loyal commander to the terror king. You have to use your trebuchet to deadly effect to destroy the castles in the nearby regions & kill their owners. The first level is very simple & quite funny. In the first level you will get only limited varieties of projectiles (stones) & the variety will keep on increasing with each level. The lesser the number of projectiles you take to destroy the castles & kill their owners better is your chances of winning the gold medal. You have to destroy the castles with a limited number of projectiles to earn the gold, silver or bronze medal. With each level you will find yourself in a different region with stronger castles & more number of occupants to kill. The sound effect of the game also changes to suit the game environment & I really liked it. This game is very good to test your trigonometry skills & also to pass some quality time.
